Honey Brand Book

The Honey Brand Book was one of my favorite projects I have ever worked on. It was just a small team of 5 of us working on the majority of it, while also collaborating with some of the other teams at Honey. We chose a new brand font, new brand colors and established our photography style. I also laid out and designed the entire pdf. You can view it by clicking here, or by clicking on one of the photos.

Grace Hopper

These assets were designed for the Grace Hopper Conference, of which Honey was a sponsor. The Grace Hopper conference is the world’s largest gathering of women in engineering. I designed an official GHC x Honey logo which was then used on several swag items, created digital banners, and an end card and lower third for the GHC x Honey video.

Honey Comarketing Toolkit

As brand designer, I’ve made several toolkits at Honey. These toolkits are an efficient way to create consistency across all marketing assets. This particular project was for comarketing Facebook templates. Brands that we partner with can choose which template they would like to use, and then our team can quickly create the files. The guide also includes information on what we need from the company, the specs for copy and design, and optional elements we can add.

Honey HQ

Helping design the new Honey Headquarters was truly one of my favorite projects. The building used to be a Coca-Cola building and is located in the Arts District in Los Angeles. I art directed and designed several murals and wallpapers for the building, as well as signage and iconography. Pictured here are the 2-level kitchen mural (above), library mural, ceiling mural, rooftop cafe mural, and one of the wallpapers.

Honey Pizza Box

I worked with a copywriter and production team to create a Honey-themed pizza box. We sent it to influencers and partners as a way to tell the story of Honey and provide a physical way to explain our digital product. The outside design looks very much like a classic pizza box, while the inside was meant to showcase the colorful Honey branding. Each pizza box also included a gift card so that the influencer’s could test out the Honey product and order themselves a pizza.

Honey Photoshoot

Last year at Honey, we had a photoshoot to create content for summer. I was responsible for creating the moodboard for the photoshoot, as well as helping with art direction on set. To the right, you can see the moodboard I made and below are the photos that we ended up getting. It was so much fun to finally be on set after working from home during the pandemic, and we loved how the photos turned out.

Womxn @ Honey

Womxn @ Honey is an employee resource group at Honey. On the right is a postcard that I made for International Women’s Day. I also worked with a production team to make socks and a camper mug and made several flyers for different events they hosted.

Jaxsea

Jaxsea is a resort brand that sells swimwear, kimonos, t-shirts and other resort apparel. Everything is designed in Maui and made in Los Angeles. I had the opportunity to design some t-shirt graphics and repeat prints for the brand. Growing up near the beach, this brand is truly right down my alley and it was so much fun to design apparel that is so close to my own personal style.

Stone & Mist

Stone & Mist is a skincare brand that my husband is starting. I’ve been helping with the style guide, packaging, and all art direction of the brand. All of the products are sustainable and made with recyclable packaging, and our signature product is an all-natural essential oil face mist. The color palette is mostly neutrals with some earth tones, with a modern yet elegant typography style.

Honey OOH Concept

This was a concept that a copywriter and I created for a NY subway takeover. The copy is very much inspired by the New York lifestyle, and is basically a letter to all New Yorkers telling them to save money with Honey. The art direction plays off the famous “I <3 NY” graphic. In the end, we went in a different direction for the campaign but I still love how these turned out.

Honey Swag

One of my main responsibilities as Internal Comms Designer at Honey was to design swag for employees. This includes anything from general swag for employees, prizes for hackathon winners, or t-shirts for events. One of my favorite events had a live screenprinter, where employees were able to choose from a few of my designs and could also choose the ink and t-shirt color. Employees loved that they could customize their own shirt, and it was fun to see what people chose and to see my designs in different color combinations.
